Global Journal of Reproductive Medicine    Juniper Publishers Authored by: İlker Etikan* Introduction Africa is the second largest and also the second most populous continent in the world. It comprises of 54 countries and total population of about 1.2 billion. The current population states that the population of the youth is higher to the one of the old because the average mean of the whole Africa population falls among the age of the youth. It is also confirmed by the world health organization (WHO) that Africa as a continent has the worst life expectancy at birth, while this is because more than half of the countries that falls under low life expectancy at birth are from African continent especially the sub-Sahara part. It may be due to some effects such as; climatic effects, economic effects, political effects, lack of access to good health center, etc. Life expectancy is the average mean length of life based on their birth, current age and other demographic factors includin

Combined Results of New Surgery Approach and Hormone Therapy with Massive Diffuse Forms of Adenomyosis-Juniper publishers

Global Journal of Reproductive Medicine    Juniper Publishers Authored by: Vitaly Tskhay* Introduction Uterine adenomyosis is a gynecologic condition whose diagnosis and clinical significance remains somewhat enig¬matic [1-3]. Adenomyosis is defined as a benign invasion of the endome¬trium into the myometrium, producing a diffusely enlarged uterus, which microscopically exhibits ectopic, non-neoplastic endometrial glands and stroma surrounded by the hypertrophic and hyperplastic myometrium [4]. The role of surgery in managing extensive uterine adenomyosis and subfertility is still highly controversial, partly because the diagnosis of adenomyosis has always been retro¬spective, and adenomyosis often involves the whole uterus diffusely, with difficulty separating normal myometrial tissue from myometrial tissue invaded by adenomyosis [5-9]. In 2011 a Japanese professor Hisao Osada published an observation of conducted organ-preserving surgical treatment of patients with adeno

A Case of Lean Idiopathic Hirsutism not Having Insulin Resistant Unresponsive to Conventional Treatment for Hirsutism-A Case Report-Juniper publishers

Global Journal of Reproductive Medicine    Juniper Publishers Authored by:  Kulvinder Kochar Kaur* Introduction Hirsutism is defined as the terminal hair on the body of a female patient, which is distributed in a male like pattern. It roughly affects 5-10% of women [1-4]. In most women hirsutism indicates the presence of one of the conditions like Poly cystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), androgen producing tumors, non classical adrenal hyperplasia (NCAH) or syndrome of severe insulin resistance, than being an isolated disorder with 60-70% cases accounted for by PCOS. Occasionally it may not be because of any of these causes when it is termed as idiopathic Hirsutism (IH) or peripheral Hirsutism [5]. Although often it is referred to as familial hirsutism, but this should not be used for IH as it has been shown that other causes of hyperandrogenemia like PCOS and NCAH show a strong familial distribution [4]. It needs treatment as it affects quality of life [6]. Here we report a ca

Outcome of In Vitro Fertilization in Women with Discordant Values of Anti Mullerian Hormone and Antral Follicle Count-Juniper publishers

Global Journal of Reproductive Medicine    Juniper Publishers Authored by:  Swati Verma* Introduction Among various proposed biomarkers, Antral Follicle Count (AFC) and Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) are said to be most favorable in predicting ovarian reserve and response to stimulation. Both generally have good correlation with each other and are often used interchangeable. There is a growing evidence of consistent association of these biomarkers with ovarian response, number of retrieved oocytes and live birth rate [1-4]. Nonetheless discordance between the two does occur and has been discussed in recent trials [5,6]. The discordance between AFC and AMH raises a doubt regarding the usefulness of AMH or possibility of some laboratory error [7]. It may also suggest existence of some subtle ovarian pathology, not demonstrated by ultrasonography done for assessment of AFC. A very limited data exits on IVF outcome in women with discordance between AMH and AFC. Therefore we conducte
